Dr. CP Dunbar is from Spartanburg, South Carolina. He attended and graduated from USC in Columbia, SC, and the USC School of Medicine.
Once he received his Doctor of Medicine degree, he began working in Family Medicine at Spartanburg General Hospital. Later, he decided to specialize in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and became board-certified. His background and experience equip him with the knowledge necessary to treat a wide range of routine Family Medicine visits and patients presenting with severe disease states.
Dr. Dunbar is proud to have worked in the same office for the past 37 years and is pleased to have recently merged his practice with the Med First Family. He has enjoyed practicing family medicine as it has allowed him to see patients who have become family friends, holding their hands when needed throughout the good and bad of life.
CP has been in Batesburg-Leesville since 1986, where he has lived with his wife, Christy, and has been happy to raise his son and daughter in the area, enjoying its small-town charm and the friendships it offers. Outside the office, he enjoys spending his free time with his grandchildren and on his pottery hobby.
