Yessuni Martinez Utrera, a native of Mexico, received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and graduated from Campbell University with her Master of Physician Assistant Practice in 2024. Yessuni started her medical career as a certified nursing assistant in Orlando, Florida. During that time, she realized how important it is for communities to have access to healthcare on a regular basis, specifically patient-centered primary care. Her love of the medical field and caring for patients motivated her to go to school to become a PA. Yessuni has a heart for volunteer work, and for the last few years, she has volunteered as a part of Campbell’s PA-Wallace Student Society throughout Harnett and Johnson County and also at Campbell’s Free Community Clinic, where she helped provide medical care to migrant farmworkers.
Now, as a physician assistant, she is determined to provide high-quality, patient-centered care and help improve accessibility to healthcare in underserved communities.
In her time off, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking with her dog, and trying new foods.
Yessuni is happy to see patients as young as five and looks forward to serving the Lillington community.
