Anne Grubbs graduated from the University of Lynchburg in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a minor in health promotion. As a registered nurse, Anne has extensive experience working in hospital settings, including in the emergency department and perioperative services. She continued her education at Maryville University and graduated in 2020 with a master’s degree in nursing, becoming a family nurse practitioner. Over the past four years, Anne has augmented her hospital and emergency medicine experience by working in pulmonary and sleep medicine.
Anne was born and raised in Halifax County, Virginia. After leaving for several years, she moved back to the area with her husband and three children to practice medicine in her hometown. Her passion for healthcare goes back to childhood when she watched her mother care for ailing grandparents. Since then, Anne knew she wanted to practice medicine and provide high-quality healthcare in rural and underserved areas. As a busy mom and professional, Anne’s current hobbies are traveling with her family, watching her children play sports, and spending time outside. Anne is honored to serve the Roxboro community and looks forward to meeting you!
