Rachel Ondek, MCMSc, MS, ATC, PA-C, is an experienced Physician Assistant with a strong background in orthopedics and urgent care. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Marietta College, a Master of Science in Kinesiology from James Madison University, and a Master of Clinical Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Barry University.
Rachel has extensive clinical experience in orthopedic surgery, including total joint replacements, trauma, sports medicine, and orthopedic urgent care. She is skilled in joint injections, splinting, casting, suturing, aspirations, reductions, and incision and drainage procedures, with additional experience in dermatologic care. She also served with the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections as an Orthopedic Clinical Consultant before transitioning to urgent care in Fayetteville, NC.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Rachel moved to North Carolina to pursue professional opportunities and to trade snow for the coastal lifestyle. Outside of work, she enjoys following sports, spending time at the beach, camping, and spending time with her loved ones.
Rachel chose a career in medicine to provide high-quality care to patients of all backgrounds. She approaches each patient interaction with compassion, patience, honesty, and respect, striving to provide patient-centered care at every visit. Rachel is happy to see primary care patients ages 10 and older, and acute care patients ages 3 and up. She looks forward to serving the Lillington community and building lasting patient relationships.
